Content Growth Specialist
About Us
Brown Brothers Media is a small but ambitious company running a portfolio of digital media websites, including globally recognized platforms like The Vessel, Hack Spirit and DMNews. We are small, profitable and headquartered in Singapore, with team-mates working remotely across the world.
What the role really involves
Your core mission is to grow traffic by spotting the right story angles before anyone else does, then turning those angles into well-crafted articles that match each site’s voice.
Idea generation driven by data – You mine our data analytics tools and social trends to propose fresh, on-strategy topics.
Outline and brief creation – You turn those ideas into solid briefs that guide the draft, internal experts and design.
Drafting and refining – You write the first pass yourself, accelerate with our in-house tools where useful, and polish the final copy until it’s publication-ready.
Post-launch analysis – You track performance, explain why a piece hit or missed, and feed those insights back into next week’s pitch list.
Channel experiments – When asked, you test distribution on places like Pinterest or Flipboard and report concise results.
Weekly 30-minute calls at 16:00 SGT keep us aligned; otherwise you manage your own schedule. Occasional in-person coffees when managers visit Singapore help keep the team tight.
What we’re looking for
You live in Singapore (or will be here long-term) and can meet locally when required.
You have 3+ years professional experience in digital writing, content strategy or journalism.
You’re fluent in English, confident with analytics dashboards, and keen to learn new AI tools.
You work independently, flag blockers early, and document findings so everyone benefits.
Why this role stands out
Real editorial ownership – You pick the topics, shape the narrative and see the traffic prove your instincts.
Modern tool-set – Structured training on our proprietary tools and analytics stack makes you faster, not replaceable.
Clear compensation – About S$7,000 per month full-time, pro-rated for part-time.
Lean team – Direct access to decision-makers, zero corporate layers, quick wins recognised fast.
Who this role is not for
If you prefer a fixed beat handed down from above, need daily step-by-step instructions, or dislike making decisions from data, this isn’t the right fit. We’re builders who enjoy figuring things out.
How to apply
Submit the short form below with your CV and links to two or three published pieces you’re proud of. Tell us—in one sentence each—how you spotted the idea and what result it achieved. We review every Friday and keep the post open until we find the right person.
